On Thursday, March 18, 2021 the Snyder cut was released exclusively on HBO Max after almost 3 and a half years since the theatrical release of Justice League. Zack Snyder was the mastermind behind DC films even directing both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

While directing Justice League Zack Snyder’s daughter Autumn tragically died on March 12, 2017, so Zack Snyder left the project, because he lost his will to fight with Warner Bros. for his vision for Justice League. Joss Whedon was then put in charge of reshoots and putting together the theatrical release of Justice League came out on November 17, 2017 that was heavily criticized.

Rumors spread like wildfire of a Zack Snyder’s version of the Justice League still out there and that it was actually good and then the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut began. On May 20, 2020 it was announced that the Snyder cut is real and will be releasing soon.

The Snyder cut fixes everything the theatrical version was criticized for. The Flash and Cyborg are fully fleshed out characters. Superman’s face is fixed. Steppenwolf has motive and gets an updated design. Cameos of the mysterious Martian Manhunter, sinister DeSaad, maniacal Joker and the menacing Darkseid. Although the Snyder cut is 4 hours and 2 minutes long it certainly does not feel like it.

Noah Gullardo, also known as Bob, an Alta Loma Varsity football player said, “It was really good especially compared to the trash theatrical version and I’m excited for the future of that story that hopefully will come to fruition. I’m sure the fan support will get it going.”

Warner Bros. have shut down ideas of Zack Snyder returning to direct Justice League 2 and 3 creating a frenzy amongst the fans that were left on a massive cliffhanger sparking another hashtag trend that has hit over 1.5 million tweets in less than 24 hours. #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.
