Baggy Clothes are Fall’s Biggest Rising Trend

After almost an entire year in quarantine, the fashion industry has been impacted tremendously. With everyone living in their sweatpants for a whole year, almost no one has been seen wearing old trends like skinny jeans and five-inch-heels. Now, it seems that the fashion world has transformed from a world of being stylish and uncomfortable to now being comfortable and stylish at the same time.

One way people are embodying this trend is by wearing a pair of baggy denim jeans. Others have been seen wearing oversized T-shirt dresses, while some are pairing an oversized hoodie with biker shorts. Also, some people style an oversized graphic tee with high waisted denim shorts.

“I love to wear baggy jeans with an oversized T-shirt and a pair of Doc Martens or Air Force 1’s,” stated Emily Leach, Sophomore.

Videos can be found on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube of influencers styling outfits that contain baggy clothes. Famous celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Gigi Hadid have been seen wearing a pair of 90’s denim baggy jeans with a simple crop top and tennis shoes.

“I really like wearing a pair of baggy jeans with a cropped tee and a pair of high top converse,” stated Sydeny Cordova, Sophomore.

Baggy clothes can be found almost anywhere at clothing stores such as Urban Outfitters, Hollister, and H&M. Online clothing stores also have been known for their baggy clothing selection like ASOS, Nasty Gal, and Pretty Little Thing.
