Bridgerton Season Two officially came out Friday, March 25, 2022, after a long COVID-induced wait. The new season was announced on Christmas day of 2021, and it has finally arrived after a long three months of anticipation from fans.

The new season no longer follows the storyline of the Duke and Duchess of Hastings, and now begins to follow the Sharma Sisters and the oldest Bridgerton brother, Anthony. Although Duchess Daphne does make some reappearances, the Duke of Hastings does not appear at all, much to the disappointment of some fans.

“This is so sad he was my favorite character,” sympathized Esmeralda Lopez, junior.

This new storyline follows the books and tells the story of Viscount Bridgerton finally being ready to settle into marriage, albeit without him expecting a love match. The new season also follows Eloise Bridgerton in her quest to find Lady Whistledown, who is revealed to be Penelope Featherington at the end of Season One. Love is found and lost for many characters, and new troubles and tales take place in the setting of a new London season.

The arrival of new characters sets the stage for both love and heartbreak among all the Bridgertons, as Eloise grapples with her coming out to society and Anthony reconciles with his duty to marry and bring an heir into the world. Colin Bridgerton has returned from his travels, still far away from love himself. Fans of the show will surely not be disappointed at the seemingly inexhaustible supply of new drama that the show provides to hungry watchers.
