In Elizabeth New Jersey on April 15th, a man named Vincent Jean ran over a woman named Morgan Scott three times with his car. Scott managed to survive, but she obtained critical injuries that her insurance refused to cover.

It was reported that the incident occurred just after Jean and Scott got into an accident, according to cnn.com. Jean tried to flee the scene, and Scott took out her phone as a result in an attempt to record his license plate number so he could be identified with the police. Jean then ran her over with his SUV, and then backed up and ran over her again multiple times. Afterward, he fled the scene and was found on Tuesday in a park with his damaged SUV.

“I was able to get out of the way, but I was shocked that that was going on,” said Scott on blackenterprise.com.

Security footage from a nearby house was found, and it showed him chasing Scott in his vehicle across the lawn. She was found later in the morning by police officers in the grass with severe injuries. According to dailymail.co, Scott had a fractured spine, a severed liver, and three broken neck bones. Unfortunately, her insurance refused to cover her medical expenses because they were intentionally inflicted.

“Recently my daughter endured a horrible attack on her life, but God was merciful and spared my daughter from death,” stated Ian Scott, Morgan Scott’s father on dailymail.co

Abc7ny.com says that he was unemployed and had a conviction for aggravated assault previously. Since there were several witnesses and recordings, he was convicted of second-degree aggravated assault, first-degree attempted murder, third-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, third-degree assault by auto, and many others. It is reported that he is scheduled to be back in court on June 1.
