This pandemic has been long and tiring for just about everyone, but there is one thing that never seems to let any of us down in our time of need. Netflix. Here’s a list of the top 10 shows, courtesy of Observer.com, that America have been binge watching for the past 8 months.

Maybe you’ve seen these or maybe you have some watching to do. The first and most watched series is Avatar: The Last Airbender. This show has been out since 2005 but it seems that it’s popularity hasn’t dwindled in the slightest.

In “Avatar: The Last Airbender is so good, it will ruin every other show for you” O’keefe writes “As dramatic as any soap opera, thrilling as any martial arts classic, and full of heart and humor, Avatar: The Last Airbender is the rare TV show that hits every mark possible for the art form. It is exquisitely beautiful, emotionally warm, and deep without going extremely dark. Sure, it was made as an animated show for kids, but it’s deft handling of its own complex plot and gorgeous artistry makes it a classic series for all audiences.”

The second most watched series is The Walking Dead. The mix of a deadly pandemic and a show full of zombies sounds just about right. A short description from Google.com says “Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, this gritty drama portrays life in the months and years that follow a zombie apocalypse.”

The third most watched series is The Flash. This show is one of the most successful marvel shows and the ratings show it. The show’s plot follows a young man named Barry Allen who becomes the flash from a freak lightning strike. The series follows his many adventures as he becomes the superhero everyone needs.

The fourth most watched series is Criminal Minds. With 15 seasons having aired so far there’s no wonder people just keep coming back for more. The show’s description writes “An elite squad of FBI profilers analyzes the country’s most-twisted criminal minds, anticipating the perpetrators’ next moves before they can strike again.”

The Fifth most watched show is Attack On Titan. Manga has some of the most popular shows worldwide and this series no exception. Wikipedia’s description writes “Attack on Titan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. It is set in a world where humanity lives within cities surrounded by enormous walls that protect them from gigantic man-eating humanoids referred to as Titans; the story follows Eren Yeager, who vows to retake the world after a Titan brings about the destruction of his hometown and the death of his mother.”

The sixth most watched show is Agents of SHIELD. Yet another marvel show that tops the charts. A short description of the show is “The worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division) employs an elite team of agents who investigate strange occurrences around the globe and beyond.”

The seventh most watched show is The 100. The CW has had a long history of creating some of the most binge worthy works of art and this show encompasses it all. The series plot from Wikipedia is “When nuclear Armageddon destroys civilization on Earth, the only survivors are those on the 12 international space stations in orbit at the time. Three generations later, the 4,000 survivors living on a space ark of linked stations see their resources dwindle and face draconian measures established to ensure humanity’s future. Desperately looking for a solution, the ark’s leaders send 100 juvenile prisoners back to the planet to test its habitability. Having always lived in space, the exiles find the planet fascinating and terrifying, but with the fate of the human race in their hands, they must forge a path into the unknown.”

The eighth most watched show is Pokémon. Even video games can hit the jackpot when it comes to creating series format entertainment. The series plot is “Ash Ketchum, his yellow pet Pikachu, and his human friends explore a world of powerful creatures. Ten-year-old Ash aspires to be the greatest Pokémon (pocket monster) trainer in the world. To do this, he enlists the help of many friends, and his own Pokémon, Pikachu.”

The ninth most watched show is Grey’s Anatomy. Even the medical field needs its own representation in the entertainment industry. The series follows “ a group of young doctors at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital, who began their careers at the facility as interns. One of the young doctors and the show’s namesake, Meredith Grey, is the daughter of a famous surgeon. Grey struggles to maintain relationships with her colleagues, particularly the hospital’s one-time chief of surgery, Richard Webber, due to a pre-existing relationship between them – Webber and Meredith’s mother had a personal relationship when Meredith was young.”

The tenth and final most watched show on Netflix is Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug And Cat Noir. Unlike other shows this one actually originates from France! The plot is “Marinette seems to be a normal teenage girl — she dreams of becoming a fashion designer, is a bit awkward and has a crush on a classmate. But she has a secret other teenagers don’t have — she lives a double life as a crime-fighting superhero known as Ladybug.”

These are just the bits of what’s trending on Netflix, it’s changing all the time so we’ll see in the next run!
